Marissa Jones has created something great. Not only is it interesting and compelling, it is a service to the people she features, the public benefits through her broadcasting podcasts of cases that have gone cold and have received little or no attention in the main stream media. Hope is created that these cases can be solved! The fact that she is not a trained professional and that she started from scratch makes it that much more amazing. I should say that I’ve become addicted to crime podcasts and have listened to many different ones. There are a few good ones out there, including Sword&Scale, Criminal, and The Vanished, among others. Mike Boudet of Sword&Scale is also a solo producer who has created a compelling crime podcast. I’m glad he is getting more sponsors, too. The production values are top-notch and he does it all by himself! Most crime podcasts are boring; one guy reading a case or two guys commenting on a case or one person interviewing someone about a case. BORING! However, when you weave into your narrative…actual audio of victims’ families, police statements, 911 calls, and even have nice music segues…. then you really have something. Anyway, Marissa Jones, you’re fantastic. Keep it up! I’m hooked. Mark
